Strategy Facilitation

Customer need

A highly successful Times Top 100 fastest growing company in the ‘High Tech’ sector. The objective was to grow the business significantly to ultimately become the market leader. Whilst they knew where they wanted to take the business, they were not clear about how they were going to achieve their ambitious goal.
In addition, the business was reliant on the experience and expertise of the Managing Director and the Technical Director (owners and original founders) and in order for it to successfully grow they needed to develop a strong management team that could become self sufficient in running the business successfully.
Evolve International were asked to help the Management team develop and implement a robust growth strategy that would take them into their next key stage of successful expansion.

Our approach

The first stage was to facilitate a strategy workshop which involved the whole management team. Our role was:

1. to guide the team through an effective process to ensure they created a highly effective strategy

2.
to challenge and stimulate thinking to ensure that the strategy was highly innovative whilst being achievable. This resulted in a strategy that
included the following:

• A clear and inspiring vision
• An analysis of the external threats and opportunities
• A deep understanding of the business and how it needed to change
and develop to achieve the goal
• Agreed strategic objectives to realise the vision
• A plan to develop the business and management skills of the management team
• Clear roles and new responsibilities
• Communication plan to engage the whole business
• Implementation plan to effectively manage the change Over the next year
the management team received one on one Executive Coaching from us.
Each individual had their own development goals and their own key part to
play in the implementation of the strategy. The coaching focused on both
of these and the Evolve coach supported each individual in the successful
execution of the implementation plan.
